XCO LiTE
& Provincial
What is XCO LiTE?
Riders who are not yet skilled or fit enough to take part in the XCO Provincial, want to take part in schools races, understand what racing and riding on the trails is all about, can take part in the XCO Lite. The aim is to assist riders in progressing through the different stages of MTB racing by starting on a relatively easy course, acquire the necessary skills and fitness and then move onto the more demanding Provincial course. XCO Lite assists school mountain biking getting the riders ready to start in groups, wait for the whistle, understand lap racing and build confidence. The course will be half the distance of the Provincial course, with a bit of climbing and only basic features that any beginner rider can roll.
The XCO LiTE Series is open to riders from Sub-sub Nipper to Grand Master – age as of 31 December, 2024
