10 years of coaching!

It's been an exciting start to 2025 as Coach Smish celebrates 10 years of MTB coaching.

Let me Introduce myself….. Hi guys. I’m #coachsmish. I’ve been working with tiny humans and bicycles since 2016 and 2025 enters my 10th year of coaching. It’s been a phenomenal journey meeting the most incredible kids, parents and riders.

I’m a mom to a beautiful little girl. Well. Not so little as she became a teenager this year. Blessed beyond with her caring and kind nature and you will often see her by my side at events and coaching. I MC at events, run and plan events, skills clinics, ride days and teach all ages to #learn2ride, upskill and nurture their love for MTB.

I’m a commercial photographer and graphic designer with a degree in fine arts where I specialised in bronze casting and metal working. My career has been creative based with publishing and advertising and cycling as my escape and passion.

I share my knowledge with young and old, on two wheels. Proudly wielding the “Gauteng Cycling 2024 MTB Lifetime achievement award” I look forward to the opportunities to continue pouring out love, life and everything inbetween on two wheels.

Watching as each and every superhero rides from strength to strength from Primary School series, to Provincial, makes you realise that THIS sport is all about family, community and love!

What an amazing journey with success stories rollin in: 9 years ago Matthew Horton did a Like2Bike event with us, and in January he clinched the 2025 South African U19 Champ title!!

Some serious passion and dedication that makes our hearts smile. Travis Rademan-Ludeke joined us on the Like2Bike decade and has also had some amazing success on his cycling journey! We are wishing both riders heaps of success on 2 wheels!

Our incredible little race team had a new look this year, and we welcome all riders, all ages, all abilities to be a part of magic on two wheels! Together we ride it like we stole it!

We have also established the Chain Gang brand and you can look super stylish in our Cycling T-shirts: Light weight and bright, they are made from a breathable fabric and sit comfortably while you are riding. Or don the cool Cycle tops:
