Being able to ride slowly, with confidence, and under control, is one of the most important mountain bike skills. Slow speed drills are terrific for teaching new riders about balance and movement on the bike, basic bike handling and even skills that may get you out of dodgy situations. Taking control of your bike and your ride, that's the ticket.
